IIM Mumbai & WWI Launch India’s First MBA in Media & Entertainment

India’s creative economy is about to get a major boost.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai and Whistling Woods International (WWI) have come together to launch the country’s first MBA program dedicated to Media & Entertainment (M&E).

Why This Collaboration Matters

This new program combines IIM Mumbai’s academic excellence with WWI’s hands-on, industry-driven training.

The goal is simple: prepare future leaders who can bridge business strategy with creative innovation.

Students will learn through real-world projects, case studies, and mentorship from top industry professionals while studying across both campuses.

What the Curriculum Covers

The MBA spans the full spectrum of media and business, including film, television, radio, animation, gaming, e-sports, music, and events.

Alongside creative disciplines, students will also explore corporate finance, data science, brand management, emerging tech, and M&E law and ethics.

The program is designed to help graduates develop global expertise in managing content and intellectual property.

Admission & Program Highlights

Graduates of this course will earn a prestigious IIM MBA degree, full alumni status, and access to a powerful professional network.

Admissions open through CAT, followed by interviews, and the first batch begins in June 2026.

Applicants need a recognized undergraduate degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD).

Conclusion

With this collaboration, IIM Mumbai and WWI are setting a new benchmark in management education.

The program not only celebrates India’s creative potential but also equips students with the skills to lead in the fast-evolving global media landscape.
